David Bigney

David Bigney has over 20 years of quality courtroom experience; primarily focused in criminal defense. 

Prior to becoming a criminal defense attorney, he was an Assistant State Attorney. Having worked on both sides of the courtroom, he has the experience to anticipate the prosecutor’s strategy; a beneficial skill he utilizes in defending cases.

Jason Bankowitz

Jason left the Office of the State Attorney in 2007 and has been primarily practicing Criminal Defense Law ever since. Dan Eckhart

Dan Eckhart is unique in that he was a federal agent and federal prosecutor before he became a criminal defense attorney. After graduating from Michigan State University, Dan started his career in San Francisco as a Special Agent with the United States Customs Service. Dan now defends federal criminal cases and asset forfeiture matters throughout the United States.

Dan Eckhart is unique in that he was a federal agent and federal prosecutor before he became a criminal defense attorney. After graduating from Michigan State University, Dan started his career in San Francisco as a Special Agent with the United States Customs Service.  He later became an Assistant United States Attorney (federal prosecutor) in the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division from 2002-2013 and worked in the civil, asset forfeiture and criminal divisions. Dan now defends federal criminal cases and asset forfeiture matters throughout the United States. 

He has defended federal clients accused drug trafficking, RICO, money laundering, healthcare fraud, bank and investment fraud, identity theft, possession of child pornography, conspiracy, wire fraud, firearms offenses, and PPP/Covid Relief loan fraud. He also successfully represented individuals with charges arising out of the January 6th disturbance at the United States Capitol.  He also has represented individuals in state court charged with murder, grand theft, drug trafficking, sexual assault, and RICO. From 2020-2021 Dan won several forfeiture cases which resulted in the DEA and Homeland Security returning all of the cash they seized during traffic stops and airport searches. He’s also worked on cases where the federal government has seized boats, cars, jewelry and homes.

Dan is licensed to practice law in Florida, Missouri, and Kansas and has defended federal criminal matters in the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, Southern District of Georgia, Northern District of Illinois, District of the Virgin Islands, Western District of Michigan, Eastern District of Michigan, Southern District of Texas, the District of Columbia, the District of Maryland, the Southern District of Iowa and in various state courts. In 2021, Dan was again named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association.  In addition to various local news outlets, Dan has been interviewed by CNN, the BBC, Variety Magazine and by the Washington Post.  He is a regular commentator on the Ashleigh Banfield show on News Nation.
